HOW TO FEEL BEAUTIFUL AGAIN
We would all love to feel beautiful all of the time, but the truth is, sometimes we just don’t.
When you’re out of your groove, your confidence takes a hit too. Don’t be hard on yourself gorgeous. As the Buddhist adage goes, “This too shall pass.”
To help you feel beautiful again, today we share our favourite self-love rituals. Before you know it, you will feel like your rocking beautiful self again. We promise 🙂
Each morning, take a few minutes just for you. Maybe light a candle and do some gentle stretches, have a shower to your favourite song, make your favourite breakfast, brush your hair or your hair wigs, put on your favourite underwear or simply shut down your eye lids and take three full breaths all the way into your belly.
Eat the whole rainbow
When you eat well, you will feel more connected to your body and in touch with the world around you. Watch as the fog clears, your body energises and your skin shines when you eat the whole rainbow – now go make that plate colourful!
Move your body
Move your body every day. Whether it’s only 10 or 20 minutes of mellow yoga stretches or more of a sweaty cardio workout, your cells will sing, your face will glow and your mind will soften into the moment.
Keep a gratitude journal or Instagram it
Seek out the good stuff every day and record it, whether scrawled in your journal or on Instagram. Lift your spirits and see the beauty in everything.
Practice radical acceptance
You are human, you are unique, and you are – whether you feel like it or not at the moment – beautiful just the way you are. There is no one like you on this earth. All you have to do is accept and respect who you are. Trust yourself.
Write a love letter to yourself
Write yourself a love note and say all the things your best friend would tell you. While you’re at it, take lots of self-portraits (because you are beautiful!) and buy yourself flowers. Make a list of what you consider a luxury and make sure you give it to yourself! You deserve it!
Share your beautiful soul
Share your soul and connect with others. Give yourself by smiling, sharing your wisdom, helping other people, be open about your struggles and problems, truly listen and let your love flow through your heart.
Think it to feel it
Your thoughts create how you feel, so you know what to do – think positively. Know that you are beautiful and create a new thought pathway; one that loves you right back.
