An up and coming #GURUTOWATCH who is definitely worth keeping an eye on. In this interview Marine shares, a behind-the-scenes peek into her daily life, what it’s like working as a Family Constellations Therapist, the best advice she’s ever been given and her biggest lessons and fears. Enjoy!
The best part of my job is…
Meeting people every day and being part of their journey. It’s an honor for me to welcome someone new and/or to work with someone for a long-term period. I’m always deeply touched by the trust they have in my work and me.
The greatest challenge in my career has been…
To believe in myself and also my work.
What does your career path look like, from College to now?
Lively! I went through so many changes but my passion for psychology ultimately won!
My career path was connected to my personal growth. When I finally felt settled, I made the conscious choice to dedicate my career to Family Constellations Therapy.
As we say: “Our pain becomes our purpose.” or “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade” well, this is exactly what I did, I changed a traumatic event to a blessing and this made all the difference.
Nothing or no one can define who you are, you are the one choosing and I chose to define my life on my own terms. It takes courage but at the end of the day, it is worth it. Never settle for less, you were born to shine.
A typical day for me goes a bit like this…..
Stretching, meditating, enjoying my breakfast (favorite meal!) while journaling and picking a card from the deck “The Universe Has Your Back” by Gabrielle Bernstein. I also enjoy working out and then finally, working!
Every day is different. I can have 5 private sessions and so my day will be entirely dedicated to my clients or I can have only one session and so I will focus more on my blog posts, a new podcast, administration and so on… I can also take a day off and just go to the park!
Right now, my focus is on my website and finding a publicist. I believe that my book has a bigger purpose and I’m ready to make it happen.
What is the one thing you’d most like to change about the world?
The world is perfect as it is. However, I’d love to see changes with the collective conscious; people being more kind and compassionate toward each other, being more respectful of differences and uniqueness and practicing acceptance.
But, I do believe it starts with our family and especially, our parents. When we have respect and acceptance toward both of them, we will have respect and acceptance for ourselves (and so others). Everything is connected and it all starts with us. We are the change.
Whats the best advice you have ever been given?
“Impose your chance, hold tight to your happiness and go toward your risk. Looking your way, they’ll follow.” Rene Char
And from my mother, “Be independent.”
When was a turning point in your career…
At the end of 2015, when I self-published my book “The Movement”. I finally became aware of my voice and full potential. And, I thought that if I could write a book in English (I’m a French native), I could achieve whatever I wanted in my career!
Who has been your biggest mentor so far…
Anyone who fights for their dreams with dedication, integrity and kindness.
If you were to describe yourself in 5 adjectives, what would they be?
Fearless – Bold – Independent – Generous – Empathic
